  Kim Victoria Cattrall, born 21 August 1956 is a Canadian actress from British Columbia. Her character in the role of Samantha Jones in HBO's Sex and the City (1998-04) is her most well-known. She received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominees. In 2002 she won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. She reprised her role in the films Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2011). Her film debut came in Rosebud (1975) and she was later cast in numerous roles on TV.
